The position
We are looking for a new Manager to lead our brand-new Center Of Excellence (CoE) within the area of "Distributed Control Systems" (DCS) in Production at Novo Nordisk. Our overall goal is to strengthen the Novo Nordisk DCS area by gathering knowledge, designing standards and providing the best possible agile and organizational fit for teams and specialists who support factory operations and drive projects within the DCS area.
You will be highly engaged with all types of stakeholders, including senior management. Maintaining high-level business priorities and defining and changing deployment roadmaps to align with these priorities will be crucial to your role. Due to our global set-up, some travel activity to sites in the U.S. can be expected.
Your primary tasks will include: Be part of Production IT's management - Today, Production IT is spread over more than a handful of teams and is constantly growing. Together with your super committed Management colleagues from the other teams, you help develop the area and the future services for Novo Nordisk production areas, drive our important agenda on inclusion and diversity, and together have an exciting, challenging and fun working day.
People management - To lead a team that is motivated and engaged. Managing the team resources, building excellent relationships, and maintaining and growing partnerships with business stakeholders.
Drive the vision and strategy - Orchestrate the agenda and vision for the Novo Nordisk DCS area. Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with stakeholders and partners by delivering robust solutions and projects. Perform change management to ensure projects and decisions are implemented effectively.
Daily administrative tasks - Budgets and plans, manages supplier relationships, costs, and external contract terms.
Qualifications
In order to hold the position, some skills are necessary, and others are nice to have. We believe that the following skills are essential to succeed in the job: Higher education in Engineering or equivalent
Solid knowledge of Automation and IT
In-depth understanding of Pharma production and Engineering consultancy
Proven history of solid project execution and building close stakeholder and partner relationships
Solid People Leadership skills
Fluent in English, written and spoken

As part of the DCS CoE, you are part of Production IT and work together with colleagues across other OT (e.g. SCADA) and IT (MES) domains to drive operation and project execution excellence across our global production footprint. Overall, you will join the rapidly evolving and growing Product Supply IT area, where over 800 employees are working across the globe to revolutionize IT and OT across our production and supply chain domain in Novo Nordisk.
Anchored under (DD&IT) Digital, Data & IT, Production IT is the trusted IT partner for our production sites and supply chain colleagues worldwide in Novo Nordisk. The position is based in Denmark at our Headquarters in Bagsværd, but with colleagues across many countries, you will have a global career path and international development opportunities.
