Become a part of the Technical Product Management team
Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart metering solutions with headquarters in Stilling south of Aarhus. Our ambition is to turn meter data into insight to help utility companies optimize their production and distribution of energy and water, and Kamstrup was 2022 awarded the innovation prize by Dansk Industri (DI). Kamstrup’s business is undergoing rapid development, which means that the requirements and demands for our smart solutions targeting the water industry are growing. Therefore, we are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to be part of the Technical Product Management team in the water division.
With direct reference to our Head of Technical Product Management, Water, you become part of a team of 10 experienced and competent colleagues who work every day to develop and bring smart metering solutions to our markets. The technical background of the team covers a wide field from very technical profiles to others with a more commercial and strategic focus and background.
A role with a focus on district water meters
As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will act as the link between development and the market. It requires insight into our customers and an understanding of their reality and needs. With this knowledge, you must work towards value-based development and ensure solutions in our markets. In addition, you will be responsible for the portfolio management of selected products and ensuring their continuous handling. To succeed in the job, it is important that you use your deep insight into the market and your close relations with customers to identify, analyze, and formulate future opportunities within our business area. You will have a broad contact network internally in the organization as well as externally.
More specifically, your primary responsibilities will be to:
• Ensure market and products competitiveness in regard to technical product specifications
• Provide solid input to the technical part of the overall meter portfolio roadmap
• Management and delegation of tasks related to the technical product portfolio
• Participate in selected tenders.
You can expect around 15 travelling days a year.
Personality matters
You have a technical background and preferably experience with product management from a technical company or from a utility. It is essential that you have a distinct commercial understanding and thrive in a customer-oriented and outgoing role. You are thus able to understand technique and digitalization as well as convert this understanding to commercial solutions. Here, it is crucial that you understand how advanced solutions are created and implemented as well as how efficient data handling is used for processing data into valuable information for our customers. Furthermore, it is a benefit if you have experience with water metering solutions.
The job requires fluency in spoken and written Danish and English.
