The position Your overall objective is to conceive and develop robotic solutions to optimise our manufacturing by means of traditional automation and robotics. Here is how we expect you to spend your time in this role: Collaborate with engineers to design and implement prototypes and solutions Drive PoC projects and serve as the Tech lead/WPA on robotic projects Give expert input regarding your field of expertise Work with suppliers and oversee and participate in the development, design and testing Ensure final design is ready for implementation in global production network, meeting all documentation requirements. In our development team, we prioritize individual and team growth and development and will provide all the necessary guidance and support to guarantee success. You'll also have opportunities to mentor, teach, or coach colleagues in the department, empowering you to develop your leadership skills. We have close collaborations with universities and offer broad range of training to support your development and ground-breaking work. We promote travel opportunities as we support our global production network and expect our team to prioritize their own development with support from management. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have: Engineering degree in robotics or an extensive knowledge in robotics and automation acquired through current work, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. Innovative mindset with a passion for creativity and exploring boundaries. Strong technical background in robotics e.g., UR Polyscope, KUKA KRL, ROS, and PLC (Siemens TIA portal, TwinCAT, Omron). Bonus points for experience with Cognex, SICK, JAI camera vision technologies and 3D printing. Experience with communication protocols like TCP/IP, PROFINET, and PROFIBUS. Fluency in English, both orally and in writing. On a personal level you are q quick learner, committed to continuous self-improvement. We expect you to be a motivated individual with a natural ability to take initiative, willing to thrive in a dynamic environment. Sense of humour is considered an essential life skill, whilst being able to work under pressure and manage stakeholders. Attention to detail, a structured approach to problem-solving, and embracing diversity are also expected for this position. About the department You will be joining the Test & Automation Development team. We develop and implement the newest technologies and most exciting solutions at Novo Nordisk sites across the world, and we need an extra Robotics Engineer to help us utilize the benefits of robotics in pharmaceutical production. Your primary working location will be at our Innovation Lab in Bagsværd with close collaboration and support to our Innovation Hub in Kalundborg.
Our mission is to minimise and/or eliminate human interventions during manufacturing of our injectable products by means of robotics and automation solutions. In the team you will work together with automation and robotics engineers, automation technicians and skilled workers. In the department you will also work with a broad range of different professions together with external partners covering a wide range of disciplines.
