Are you a skilled and engaged technician interested in working with radiolabeled drug substances? A radiolabeled drug substance is an important tool applied in many different studies during research and development of potential new medicines including early clinical studies. The position
You will join a team with 3 laboratory technicians and 4 chemists. As our new Laboratory Technician you will, in close collaboration with team members, manufacture radiolabeled drug substances. Organic synthesis methods are applied to incorporate radionuclides into the drug substances. We are using the radioactive isotopes 3H, 14C and 125I in our facility. Following production we apply analytical methods to generate purity, ID and stability data on the compounds. An important part of the job is to document your work, participate in the daily operation of our laboratory including housekeeping tasks and maintenance of our equipment. As a new employee in our team, you will go through a systematic individual training based on your current qualifications.
Primary tasks: HPLC purification Analysis of purity and ID Organic chemistry synthesis Documenting results Maintenance of equipment General housekeeping tasks in laboratory Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders Qualifications You are a skilled and engaged laboratory technician with experience in the use of chromatographic methods (e.g. HPLC/UPLC/LC-MS) and organic synthesis, as well as maintenance of equipment. Experience with quality systems (GMP or GLP) and use of Chromeleon and Thermo-Fisher HPLC systems is an advantage. You have a positive mindset and you work in a structured manner. You are result driven and want to build good relations with your colleagues and contribute to good team spirit. You are agile and flexible in your way of work. If needed, you can juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and keep a calm overview in busy periods. The department
In addition to radiolabeled drug substance our department, Chemical Development, contributes by delivery of synthetic peptides, oligonucleotides and small molecules, as well as the delivery of chemical intermediates for the modification of recombinant peptides and proteins.
