Then you might be our new colleague in Biotech and Rare Diseases (BRD) API Manufacturing Development (MDEV). About the departmentBRD API MDEV is located in Gentofte and is part of BRD Manufacturing Development. The department consists of 75 employees in 5 teams.You will become part of the team Downstream Pilot Plant, which is primarily responsible for ensuring the delivery of 9 different support proteins for API production in BRD.Production takes place in our pilot facility which is characterized by complex processes requiring employees with extensive professional knowledge and great commitment. Support proteins are a common term for special raw materials used in the preparation of the API and consist of immobilized monoclonal antibodies, which are used for the purification of API or enzymes for modification in the API process. We are a small production group of 3 scientists and 7 technicians and, you will therefore have a broad variety of assignments and great opportunities for developing your skills. Team spirit is important to us and although we like working independently, we believe in succeeding together. We enjoy getting together around social activities, looking out for each other. The positionWe offer you an exciting and untraditional position, where you will work on many different assignments within manufacturing of pharmaceutical proteins. You will focus on the production of enzymes and antibodies, in addition to working with:
  • Protein purification, protein refolding and Chromatography

  • ÄKTA systems in both laboratory scale and pilot production scale

  • Ultrafiltration (UF), diafiltration (DF) and virus filtration.

  • Furthermore, you will be involved in helping to solve here and now problems and you will contribute to ongoing optimization of systems and processes. You can expect interaction with numerous stakeholders in QA, QC, CMC, logistics, finance, external vendors as well as our BRD production sites in New Hampshire, Gentofte, Kalundborg and Hillerød. QualificationsWe expect that you:
  • Hold a MSc in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or of similar relevance.

  • Are fluent in both Danish and English.

  • Have experience from a support function with a wide range of assignments.

  • It will be considered an advantage if you have experience in handling deviations and CR cases as well as preparation of SOPs and job training plans, as will an interest in working with LEAN and cGMP.
