Do you want to join a dynamic, technology-driven department engaged in developing genome edited, cell therapies to patients that suffer from serious chronic diseases such as Diabetes, Chronic Heart Failure, and Parkinson’s disease? About the department The department Cell therapy Discovery is part of Novo Nordisk’s Cell Therapy R&D organisation, where we develop novel cell replacement therapies for the treatment of serious chronic diseases. The R&D unit covers the full pharma R&D value chain, which means we function as an integrated entity, spanning from early research to GMP manufacturing, non-clinical and clinical development in the same organisation. Cell Therapy Discovery is situated in Måløv, Denmark and is an international and dedicated department of approximately 25 employees including scientists, technicians, and students, with expertise within stem cell differentiation & characterisation, genome editing tools, and sequencing & bioinformatics to design and characterise safe and efficacious cell therapy products with focus on hypoimmunogenic & functionally improved cell products. Then click here and learn more about Cell Therapy R&D The position We are looking for an associate scientist that is ready to take on a 2-year position as a scientific and lab-based resource to generate functionally improved cell products. You will be part of a team responsible for developing and characterising gene-edited stem cell lines for instance by performing the gene editing and cloning, testing differentiation potential, and establishment of flow cytometry panels. Qualifications You hold a master’s degree in biological sciences with expertise within cultivation and in vitro differentiation of pluripotent stem cells preferably with knowledge in genome editing tools and developmental biology. We expect you to have experience with standard key analyses such as flow cytometry, RNA sequencing, and qPCR. In addition to your scientific profile, you are a dedicated, open-minded, and innovative team player with good collaboration skills, result oriented and organised in your working routines.
