If so, join us as our new intern in the Global Obesity Policy team is part of the Global Public Affairs and Patient Relations team in Novo Nordisk, and embrace the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues. The position This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with internal and external stakeholders, gain experience in overall project management and public affairs, and work with a complex policy area like obesity. The position also includes supporting team members with various day-to-day tasks across our projects and initiatives. Your tasks will include:
  • Support existing projects with content creation and project management including our initiatives at UN General Assembly and partnership with World Economic Forum
  • Creating presentations for the team members
  • Meeting organisation
  • Other ad-hoc tasks
  • The position will allow you to learn first-hand whilst building stakeholder relationships with global policymakers and key opinion leaders in obesity and to strengthen your skills in project management, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs. As an intern, you will support our work to effectively push for political action which helps our work to improve the lives of people living with obesity. Practicalities:
  • Start date: 15 August 2023 (flexible)
  • Working hours: Full time
  • Internship period: a minimum of 6 months with the possibility to extend to 12 months
  • Location: Headquarters office in Bagsvaerd, Denmark
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required
  • Students must be enrolled at a university through the entire internship period. Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows. Qualifications You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Political Science, Global Health, Business Management, International Business and Politics, or another similar field, with a minimum of 1-2 years of study remaining. An intellectually curious individual with a strong will to succeed, a lot of energy, and the capacity to work both individually and in groups. See yourself as a person who gets the job done on time without sacrificing the quality of your deliverables. Excellent communicator with fluency in spoken and written English. About the department The Global Obesity Policy team is part of the Global Public Affairs and Patient Relations team. In this team, we are supporting the company’s efforts in driving change for people living with obesity. Our team is dedicated to achieving the following key priorities:
  • Have obesity as a health system priority at the political level
  • Shift the perspective from individual to societal responsibility
  • Secure evidence-based and comprehensive prevention and care for obesity
  • Work with obesity in innovative partnerships
