About the department The Primary Packaging Development department is situated in Devices and Delivery Solutions, a business unit within the global Development organisation and located in Hillerød in the greater Copenhagen area with state-of-the-art R&D facilities. Devices and Delivery Solutions has the mandate and responsibility to innovate and develop the most innovative delivery solutions for the entire portfolio of Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical products. The unit is comprised of project management, engineering, and technical functions spanning across all competences required to deliver on a diverse portfolio of drug/combination product and device projects. You will be part of an organisation of highly skilled people – maybe the best in the industry. You will join a new, growing, and dynamic department consisting of 17 highly capable and ambitious developers/specialists and project managers, people who work dedicatedly on developing and implementing primary packaging solutions in Novo Nordisk. Our department is characterised by an international environment with colleagues having a background from all over the world, like Iran, India, Spain, Morocco, France, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, and Finland. We are helpful and supporting colleagues, eager to support Novo Nordisk drug-project portfolio, accountable towards timelines, keen on investigating how we can contribute to the world’s circular economy. Furthermore, we are a department that have a strong social spirit and we occasionally arrange get-togethers after hours. The position In this newly established position as a Team Leader for Primary Packaging Development you will be the first point of contact and daily operational manager for our team of primary packaging developers. You will be working closely with the Senior Manager of the department and our project managers and specialists, as well as other parts of the organisation. Your main responsibilities will be: Ensuring effective daily operations, project deliverable and compliance Leading the team in process improvements and challenge the status quo Engaging, motivating, and developing your team, leading by example, and building trust Managing stakeholders internally and externally We work in an environment with increasing requirements and complexity – so one of your primary tasks as team leader will be to enable your team to create simplicity in the processes and deliverables. Your responsibilities will be diverse, and you will have a key role in a dynamic R&D organisation where you will get a chance to work with extremely skilled and knowledgeable people. Qualifications You hold a MSc/BSc degree in engineering or another relevant field within the natural sciences You have minimum 2 years of project/line management experience within the pharma industry and education preferably within technical engineering or the like, could be product development or production You have experience in primary packaging for pharmaceutical products, medical device or clinical development You must be fluent in written and spoken English As a person, you are motivated by working in a creative environment identifying solutions to design challenges. You thrive in taking the lead and do not mind taking the hard discussions or decisions to move on in a dynamic environment. You take pride in delivering on your milestones, and you motivate your colleagues with a positive attitude. You like to motivate and ensure deliveries through a team effort.
