About the Industry Master of Science in Engineering within Bio-manufacturing
As a student, on the Biomanufacturing study line, you will play an essential part in the fast-expanding industry of chemical and biochemical production. The programme provides you with the skills to work with everything from modern medicine to new ingredients for food or the sustainable development of the energy and agricultural sectors.
During your time of study, you will become an expert in process thinking and work with chemistry and biochemistry at an industrial scale. Taught by leading experts and professors, you will learn to run a factory and work with all the industrial processes – from development and improvements to embedding new technology and digitalized optimizations. You will gain strong engineering knowledge as well as an innovative mindset.
Do you have a BSc/BEng within chemical engineering, process engineering or similar (recently graduated and/or combined with some years of experience)? Are you interested in combining a part time position as a Process Engineer with a part time Industrial MSc Degree in Engineering specialising in Bio-manufacturing? The programme, as a typical MSc Engineering program, consists of 120 ECTS points over a 4-year period.
Please make sure to apply simultaneously for the Industry Master of Science in Engineering within Bio-manufacturing at DTU, as well as for the position as part-time Process Engineer at NNE. To be considered for the part-time job as Process Engineer at NNE, you need to have a conditional admission letter from DTU.

What drives our passion – and hopefully yours
We are currently looking for candidates to join our department of Active Products in the autumn period of 2023. You will primarily work at our office in Kalundborg in first place. However, some days can be operated from Virum office.
We are many motivated engineers working with both upstream and downstream processes within pharma and biotechnology.
We are responsible for designing the needed equipment to generate a specific product. We typically work with capacity calculation, specification, selection and procurement of process equipment, PFD and P&ID creation and update, but the wide variety of tasks is not only bound to our own department, as you will also experience how we support other disciplines for example with 3D models, quality risk assessment or testing activities.

As a part-time Process Engineer, you’ll be working with (but not limited to)
- Develop PFD’s and PID’s together with our engineers
- Participate in design decision workshops together with colleagues and customers
- Implement decided solutions to a design (layout, PID’s and more)
- Follow the execution of the projects and play an active part of the project together with our engineers
- Capacity calculations
