The Position As an Associate Manager, you will lead a team of 15 employees (scientists and technicians) who are working with development and optimization of purification processes for the manufacturing of active ingredients (API) for many of Novo Nordisk products. The team is preparing, conducting, and reporting API production campaigns in close collaboration with the Development and Production areas of Novo Nordisk. Your main responsibilities will be to: Be based on-site, visible, and easy to approach,
Lead a team and set a clear direction,
Communicate clearly and effectively both with your team and with your stakeholders.
In this job, you will have opportunities to grow personally and professionally by developing your leadership competencies and being part of establishing new facilities while keeping the current production running. Furthermore, you can look forward to exciting projects covering new technology and digitalization as well as being involved in various investment initiatives and projects. You will be a part of the leadership team in Purification Pilot Plants (PPP), consisting of five associate managers, one assistant, and a director. Qualifications To succeed in this position, you have: A master’s degree or PhD in science/technology, biochemical/chemical engineering, pharmacy, or other relevant fields. Several years of experience in people management, ideally within a development or production environment. Passion for setting directions, motivating, and developing team members. Proficiency for Danish, both written and spoken. On a personal level, we expect you to be an ambitious and performance-oriented leader, that finds simple solutions to complex challenges. You demonstrate strong communication skills, take responsibility for developing others and you motivate your employees by being inspiring and engaging. Furthermore, you think above and beyond your area and you promote knowledge sharing. You thrive in a high-paced environment, you like to challenge the status quo and you see cLEAN as a natural part of your daily work. About the Department The position is in the department of Purification Pilot Plants and part of Chemistry Manufacturing and Control (CMC) API Pilots. CMC API Pilots is a part of the R&D organization, that manufactures and controls new drug substance candidates for the development portfolio at Novo Nordisk. Currently, 70 staff make up the department, and are split into five teams, three facilities and two locations (Gentofte and Bagsværd). Our core tasks include the upscaling of processes and purification of proteins for toxicological and clinical studies. Our department consists of academics, specialists, interns and technicians. You will join a dynamic area preparing for taking in more exciting development projects and brand-new production facilities to raise the capacity for the supply of the oral portfolio.
