Are you a scientist with a passion for communicating scientific ideas and concepts to a global audience? Would you like to join a team that is at the forefront of communicating Novo Nordisk’s scientific aspirations internally and externally? Do you have experience in translating strategy into concrete, meaningful and engaging communication? Then you could be our new Scientific Communication Partner in Research & Early Development Communication! The position As Scientific Communication Partner you will be supporting the Chief Scientific Officer and members of his Leadership Team in translating scientific research & discoveries into stories and presentations that inspire and inform global audiences. As a communication professional you will also be part of the Novo Nordisk Global Communicators’ Network and other informal networks. You will report directly to the Head of R&ED Communication Your main responsibilities will include: Preparation of presentations, social media posts, educational materials, and other communication using your business understanding to integrate science with strategic business content Connecting the dots between basic and clinical research data and disease understanding and collaborating with colleagues across Novo Nordisk, including the Chief Scientific Officer Translating some of our most exciting scientific discoveries into stories, developing visually appealing presentations, and adapting the storytelling to various internal and external audiences such as Novo Nordisk employees, scientists, journalist, and health care personnel. Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you need to have: A master’s degree or preferably a PhD in science Very strong presentation and communication skills and either an education and/or working experience in communication (experience in the pharmaceutical - or similar industry – is preferred) Excellent understanding of and preferably working experience with basic and/or pre-clinical research Documented experience with writing and communicating in a scientific context Excellent skills in power point Fluent written and oral English On a personal level, you are pro-active, tenacious and have a can-do attitude. You are self-driven, but also highly motivated by collaborations and a strong team player. You have a high degree of integrity and precision, great stakeholder engagement skills, and you take pride in delivering high quality strategic material at senior management level. You are curious, with a positive and innovative mind-set and flexible attitude and are ready to work in an exciting environment close to the senior management in Research & Early Development. About the department R&ED Communications is a team of communication partners and specialists with a shared passion for creating first-in-class communication, connecting people and sharing knowledge across, within and outside of our organisation. Our team works closely with the Chief Scientific Officer, our senior leadership team, communicators around the company and the many scientists and project teams delivering the medicines of tomorrow. We also interact frequently with collaboration partners, media professionals and external communicators.
