The Position With the expansion into new therapy areas and our strong performance in existing therapy areas there is a great need to optimise across our product portfolio. Here you will play a pivotal role in leading the forecasting efforts within Diabetes, Obesity and Other Serious Chronic Diseases (OSCD). Where you will be leading a team of a highly motivated, ambitious, and performance-driven colleagues. The role offers broad insights into Novo Nordisk’s worldwide business, active participation in cross-functional projects and international collaboration with teams across different functions and geographies. This role requires a strong combination of strategic, analytical, and collaborative ways of working, focusing on driving strategic portfolio management. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and develop the sub-department in Portfolio Insights & Forecasting responsible for forecasting across Diabetes, Obesity and OSCD
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality forecasts for key products on a regional and/or global level, including Long Term Forecast (LTF)
  • Lead the preparation of best-in-class market analyses including synthesizing patient and HCP level analyses to inform global strategies as well long-term market projections to senior management
  • Impact key stakeholders and maintain strong partnership with key stakeholders, which include partners in CSCA, Regions, Top-10 affiliates, Finance and Product Supply (PS), to ensure alignment and successful attainment of common targets
  • Engage in a wide range of ad-hoc project management activities, with a broad variety of interactions with key senior stakeholders across the value chain
  • Qualifications As an ideal candidate we imagine that you have;
  • Master´s degree in a relevant field
  • 8+ years’ experience in industry and/or as a consultant
  • Excellent analytical capabilities based on solid quantitative and qualitative skills (analytical, structural, and conceptual problem-solving)
  • Strong strategic toolbox from experience at a top-tier management consulting company and/or corporate strategy department
  • Experience within portfolio management valuation, driving project prioritisation
  • Ability to work on a strategic/conceptual level, but also getting into the details of our processes and project plans
  • Proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in collaborating across organisations and cultures and within project management
  • As a person you possesses personal drive, autonomy, self-motivating ability, positive and collaborative mind-set, outgoing and enjoys working in a busy and team-based environment. About the Department Portfolio Insights & Forecasting in Portfolio Strategy Unit focuses on analysing market dynamics, identifying trends/events and forecasting market development across the product portfolio. The purpose is to drive insightful analyses and recommendations that enable fact-based decision making in senior management and among key stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
