You will join Demant’s Intellectual Properties team, where we are a mix of patent, design and trademark attorneys, graduates as well as paralegals, all in all 14 colleagues. Our primary goal is to continuously interact with Demant’s globally distributed business units and R&D organizations to ensure that Demant launches products with the lowest litigation risk. We are located at Demant’s headquarters just outside Copenhagen.

We are looking for a European or US Patent Attorney.
The job
You will be part of developing our team’s collective knowledge on technology and patent law. Our team engages in R&D project groups throughout the product development process and undertakes activities to establish freedom-to-operate, while continuously advising stakeholders. You will contribute to the growth of our international patent portfolio by participating actively in the handling of incoming ideas as well as preparing and prosecuting patent applications. And last, you will develop skills in various areas of patent practices such as European and US prosecution as well as invalidation proceedings.
About you
You are a qualified European or US Patent Attorney with a couple of years of experience within the technical fields of either physics, mechanics, electronics or software and you may have some years of experience in leading people – possibly from practicing in the industry or in private practice.
As a person, you have strong analytical skills and are able to quickly grasp new areas. In your work with IP, you have an eye for details and, at the same time, can communicate clearly and concisely with different stakeholders. You are structured and systematic and have an interest in understanding Demant’s business. You need to be fluent in English.
