The Position We are looking for a +1 year maternity cover in the Global Obesity Access team where you’ll be working with our unique portfolio of marketed obesity products as well as being part of shaping the future of our innovative pipeline assets. As Associate Value Strategy and Payer Engagement Director, you will be responsible for driving the strategic development and planning for the obesity assets while contributing with deep experience, knowledge, and skills that can be of use to the wider access team and organization. Your main tasks will include:
  • Providing leadership on Value Strategy and Payer Engagement activities as part of the Market Access team
  • Responsibility for driving access strategies and leading the development of payer value communication materials and tools, including dossiers, interactive budget impact tools, digital toolkits, data visualizations, and other value demonstration materials
  • Leading training and presentations on value communication and market access strategies to strengthen the activation of Novo Nordisk portfolio value
  • Supporting relevant payer engagement activities to inform the stakeholder engagement approach, including advisory boards as well as establish and maintain a broad network of stakeholders with influence on and understanding of payer expectations and access needs.
  • Innovative thinking and solutions aligned to the challenges and trends of the evolving access landscape globally in close collaboration with other Market Access Value Strategy and Payer Engagement colleagues across Novo Nordisk
  • For early pipeline assets, you are expected to drive the definition of the initial early value proposition. You will further drive the mapping of submission requirements and market access barriers across key markets and initiate early strategic thinking on HTA & reimbursement strategy. Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 4 years of pharma or consultancy experience within market access strategy and payer engagement across the product lifecycle from pipeline to LCM
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic mindset
  • Familiarity with reimbursement processes and payer requirements across key markets and channels
  • Ability to develop and drive strong relationships with all key stakeholders across geographies and function
  • Proven payer engagement and market access experience across key geographies
  • Direct experience in developing impactful payer engagement materials, tools, and frameworks
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken is a requirement.

About the Department The Obesity unit is responsible for the strategic leadership for the current and future obesity portfolio worldwide and is accountable for our portfolio strategies within obesity and the Obesity Business Plan.
