As an IT Project Manager, you will: Report directly to the Chief Patent Counsel and be an integral member of the global patents leadership team. Drive the digital agenda of the global patent function, including the implementation of automation and artificial intelligence projects to improve the efficiency and accuracy of patent-related tasks. Manage system upgrades and hosting set-up with external providers, ensuring that systems are maintained and optimized to meet the needs of the patent function. Handle monthly meetings with Client Directors, raise and manage support tickets, and provide input to client groups. Plan, execute, and oversee strategic projects aimed at improving the operation and organization of the global patent function, ensuring that project milestones are met within specified timelines and budgets. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to identify opportunities for digital transformation, including the development of new tools, platforms, and technologies to support the patent function. Represent the patent function in system security advisory boards, and manage IT risk mitigation and Business continuity plans.
Furthermore, you will stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in digital technology and patent law, and identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to improve patent-related processes and workflows. Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific or technical field, with additional education or training in project management preferred. Furthermore, to be successful in this role, you have: 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotech company or a law firm specializing in intellectual property. Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, budgeting, and risk management, with a track record in digital transformation. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliverables. Knowledge of patent prosecution processes is a plus. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
