Skilled Energy Sourcing Professional Do you have a strong passion for energy sourcing and the ability to transform strategic ideas into specific energy related decisions? Do you have hands-on experience from working with power purchase agreements, contracting of utility solutions or similar? Then you might be our new Category Manager to contribute to our ongoing efforts to secure the ability of the product supply division of Novo Nordisk to deliver the products needed by millions of people living with chronic diseases in a renewable way. Position:
The world is changing and so are we. The demand for driving global energy projects to support our factories worldwide is increasing and we need you on our journey. As Category Manager for the energy category, you will be responsible for identifying energy solutions and sourcing energy contracts, including state of the art PPAs, by driving the sourcing aspects of new energy solutions, and to setup the solutions by contracting with suppliers. Collaboration across the landscape of external partners and the global Novo Nordisk teams is of paramount importance to secure that we deliver on all ambitions related to energy. You will be working closely with our Senior Category Manager and be involved with suppliers and partners securing that we always have the right contractual and strategic set-up to support supplies in accordance with the organization’s demand. The job entails that you: Work collaborative and customer orientated – actively interact with relevant parts of the organisation (our customers), understand the business needs, and translate our customer’s strategy and ambitions into energy solutions taking a plethora of sourcing criteria into account, e.g., sustainability, costs, timelines, technology, robustness, biodiversity, responsible sourcing, etc. Develop category related strategies, identify trends and dynamics, and ensure that relevant sourcing opportunities and -risks are identified and acted upon Ensure that category fundamentals, such as contracting, and supplier collaboration structures and risk assessments are all managed timely and according to internal procedures Thrive with stakeholder management and understands the complexity of working in a large and global organisation. You will be working with suppliers and networks both in and outside Europe, hence you should expect 10 to 20 days of travel activities per year. This position holds ample opportunities for personal and professional development and will quickly establish you as the go-to person within your area. Qualifications Youhold a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, e.g., supply chain, business, or engineering. You have 2-3 years of experience working with sourcing or supply-chain. 3+ years’ experience from working with or in the energy area. You are fluent in both verbal and written English. Since several suppliers and contracts are operating in Danish, this will be an advantage, but not a requirement. As a person, you have a strategic mind-set and an ability to quickly understand different business models and the energy industry dynamics. You can put strategy into action by breaking the bigger picture down into energy related decisions. Additionally, you are a skilled project manager, with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of numbers. Lastly, you enjoy working in a multicultural and high-pace environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’, and a healthy sense of humor to your work also when under pressure. Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. We are responsible for securing that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international supplier networks, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that helps millions of people around the world to live with chronical diseases.
