Senior Director, Infrastructure Services

This strategic leadership role oversees [xxxxx]’s global Infrastructure & Core Services department, guiding a team of 140 across Poland, Copenhagen, and the US. As part of the CTO leadership team, the Senior Director drives the evolution of infrastructure strategy, champions cloud-first adoption, and ensures operational excellence across a complex, global IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead [xxxxx]’s global Infrastructure & Core Services department, overseeing a team of 140 FTEs across Poland, Copenhagen, and the US.
• Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure 24x7 availability of infrastructure services.
• Coach and support senior engineering managers, fostering leadership growth and delivery excellence.
• Define and drive the target infrastructure strategy, including multi-cloud architecture, network, IAM, and FinOps.
• Act as a key member of the CTO leadership team, influencing business-facing domains to adopt a cloud-first approach and simplify the IT ecosystem.
• Engage in senior stakeholder management, ensuring alignment across business and technology functions.
• Design and evolve the organization and operating model to support scalability, agility, and innovation.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure high-quality service delivery and strategic alignment.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure services, cloud operations, and IT leadership.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Technology, or a related field.
• A balanced T-shaped leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
• Inspirational leadership style, with the ability to dream big, lead through ambiguity, and foster innovation.
• Strong communication and structuring skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Solid background in Cloud Infrastructure (Azure) and on-premise infrastructure management and operations.
• Experience with multiple hyperscalers is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of cloud engineering, FinOps tools, and infrastructure support models.
• Strong understanding of network management and identity & access management (IAM).
