Are you an experienced leader with a strong background in Data & Analytics strategy and data governance? … If so, this could be the opportunity for you!

With increasing ambitions on AI and Analytics and need for easily accessible, reusable and well governed data we’re seeking a strategic leader to facilitate and drive [xxxxx]’s Data & Analytics (D&A) strategy and data governance agenda across the value chain as we embark on next phase of data and AI transformation.

This role is pivotal in aligning data foundations work with business outcomes, enabling AI and analytics success through high-quality, accessible, and well-governed data. The role will work across the D&A leadership and key to success is building strong relationships and buy in to ways of working and the joint strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Lead the facilitation and development of a multi-year D&A strategy aligned with commercial and operational goals across the D&A LT
  • Facilitate D&A leadership alignment on priorities, investments, and foundational data work.
  • Facilitate reoccurring review of progress to the joint roadmap and plans

Data Governance & Stewardship

  • Own and implement data governance framework incl. metadata standards, business glossary, data classification, lineage, and quality policies
  • Establish scalable stewardship models and data quality measurement frameworks.
  • Provide executive-level insights on data health and governance progress.

Data Products & Accessibility

  • Drive and ensure execution of the roadmap Data Accessibility and with this our Data Marketplace, including cataloging, contracts, and self-service access.
  • Oversee the Athena platform where we make current Analytics products available, and its convergence with future marketplace capabilities.
  • Map consumer journeys and ensure access to relevant data tools and products – and build out proposition where relevant

Value Realization & Reporting

  • Build dashboards for senior leadership tracking KPIs, value delivery (e.g., revenue uplift, cost savings), risk posture, and resource allocation as needed

Organizational Enablement

  • Lead a team of 10–15 experts across governance, strategy, and transformation.
  • Drive cross-functional change with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and business teams.
  • Partner with the AI CoE to support adoption and enablement of AI initiatives.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear, actionable D&A strategy embedded across the organization.
  • Strong governance model understood and supported by both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Scalable data accessibility through a well-defined marketplace and self-service tooling – along with strong plans for improving data quality and quality of data products made available
  • High collaboration across D&A leadership and business functions

Qualifications required

  • 8–10+ years leading Data, Analytics, and AI initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, analytics, and AI concepts.
  • Proven experience in strategy development, data product lifecycle, and consumer journey mapping.
  • Strong communicator with ability to translate technical concepts into business-relevant language.
  • Track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams.
