🚨 What kind of talent are we looking for?


We are seeking a Head of Commercial with a strong continuous improvement mindset, strategic thinking, and a passion for driving sustainable business growth.
This person will be responsible for developing and implementing the terminal’s commercial strategy, strengthening customer relationships, expanding market presence, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience, in line with the Global APM Terminals Strategy and the Terminal’s Strategic Plan.

💼 Key Responsibilities


  • Design and implement the terminal’s commercial strategy, aligned with global and regional business objectives.

  • Drive revenue growth by generating demand, identifying new opportunities, and developing customer-focused products and services.

  • Strengthen the terminal’s market position through effective marketing and relationship management strategies.

  • Represent the company before key customers, port authorities, industry associations, and government entities, ensuring strong institutional relationships.

  • Lead the end-to-end customer management process (shipping lines, BCOs, logistics operators), ensuring satisfaction, loyalty, and contract compliance.

  • Develop and implement value-based pricing strategies that drive profitability and competitiveness.

  • Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to adapt offerings and enhance the value proposition.

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, and the Regional Office to ensure efficient value delivery to customers.

  • Lead and develop the Commercial and Customer Service teams, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and excellence.

  • Ensure the implementation of global standards, digital tools, and commercial best practices, driving transformation and organizational maturity.


🎯 Profile We’re Looking For


  • University degree in International Business, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.

  • Postgraduate degree in commercial management, marketing, or related areas (preferred).

  • 7+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in commercial or business development roles within the port, logistics, transportation, or related industries.

  • Proven experience leading teams and managing strategic customer relationships at a regional level.

  • Intermediate to advanced English (required).

  • Proven ability in strategic planning, pricing, B2B marketing, and customer experience management.

  • Strong results orientation, analytical mindset, and a LEAN, continuous improvement mentality.

  • Location: Bogotá / Buenaventura.
