Job Title – Head of Sourcing and Contracting

Hours - Full Time

Location - Waalre, Netherlands or Copenhagen Denmark

About the Role
As a Head of Sourcing and Contracting at [xxxxx]. You will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing and procurement processes to ensure the company acquires high-quality and compliant materials and services at the best possible prices.

Key Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the success of the strategic sourcing management goals of the company and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved
  
  

• Generate and implement efficient sourcing and spend management strategies through the RFx process
  
  

• Deliver and manage the request for proposal (RFP) process for those categories or sourcing engagements that they manage
  
  

• Developing strategies to improve the enterprises’ cost structure
  
  

• Optimize external spending through early involvement in the sourcing life cycle developed through a strong partnership with category managers and business stakeholders
  
  

• Demonstrate strong business judgment, integrity, financial acumen and project management skills
  
  

• Have knowledge of sourcing practices, experience in negotiating complex contracts/agreements, vendor management skills and demonstrated expertise within the spend category areas
  
  

• Evaluates supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and implements supplier agreements by working with cross functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach an agreement on contract terms and conditions
  
  

• Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect the continuity of supply and utilize emerging opportunities
  
  

What skills and experience will be required?

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain management, maths, statistics or other related fields
  
  

• Ideally Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Economics or similar discipline
  
  

• 5+ years experience in supply chain management or strategic sourcing
  
  

• Experience writing and generating RFx to suppliers
  
  

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  
  

• ISM, CIPS, CPMcertification preferred
  
  

• SAP, statistical tools, data mining/reporting tools knowledge
  
  

• Familiarity with S2C suites: e-sourcing and contract life cycle management tools
  
  

• Proven track record of leading teams on-shore and off-shore
