Key Responsibilities
- Several years of experience working in an organisation focusing on commercial aspects of fleet operations or newbuilding and/or retrofit of container vessels. Preferably holding experience as commercial program manager or similar role in implementation of large-scale technical projects onboard vessels in close collaboration with stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
- Result oriented, process-driven background with strong business acumen and proactive in formulating strategies with a keen interest in maritime technologies.
- Understanding of Investment analysis for various fleet upgrades opportunities and business case development knowledge will be an advantage.
- Experience in the areas of maritime technologies, international mindset and shows excitement to engage and deal with multiple internal and external stakeholders even in challenging situations. Demonstrates strong business acumen, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Good communication in English written and verbal, with presentation and facilitation skills will be a prerequisite for this role.
Specific responsibilities include
1.Time Charter Fleet retrofit project development: Develop time charter fleet upgrade program including retrofit vessel selection criteria and prioritisation matrix in close cooperation with time charter owners, supplies and Maersk Internal stakeholders. Identification and financial analysis for fleet retrofit activities and formulating the business case narratives and rationales.
2. Time Charter Fleet Retrofits execution: Drive and track the various approved project implementation within approved budget in close cooperation with time charter owners and mitigate risk and delay where applicable. Ensure the quality of the technical upgrade as per our specifications and ensure the optimum system performance with test and sea trails.
3. Time Charter Fleet Retrofits follow up and business case validations: Develop project follow up plan in close cooperation with ship owners and Maersk performance managers to track the benefits and validate business case assumptions. Review the systems performance after modifications and configure for optimum performance if performance gap is identified.
4. Time Charter Fleet retrofit standards and innovation: Develop the retrofits package for various standard vessel designs, and drive innovation onboard Time Charter fleet in collaboration with ship owners and makers. Develop time charter fleet opportunity and prioritisation matrix focusing to improve the slot cost in close cooperation with Maersk global network and deployment team.
