Abacus Medicine is looking for a motivated and analytical individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a flair for numbers to join the Finnish Business Development Team.
The position is based in Copenhagen at the headquarter of Abacus Medicine, which is located at Kalvebod Brygge.
About the role
As a Portfolio Analyst, your role will involve the dynamic management of the Finnish parallel imports (PI) portfolio, which presently comprises around 100 SKUs and generates an annual turnover of about 37 million EUR. You will work closely with the Business Development team and collaborate with other country portfolio analysts. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing trading risk and returns for the Finnish PI portfolio, while also playing a significant role in shaping their approach to pursuing new licenses and actively managing hospital contracts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Bi-weekly pricing and portfolio management of the Finnish pharmacy product portfolio.
- Tender management in the Finnish hospital market in cooperation with the country manager
- Responsibility of executing new product activities
- Monitoring and execution on trading opportunities ongoingly.
- Analysis, benchmark evaluations and reporting on commercial developments.

As a candidate for this role, we expect you to possess a self-driven and analytical mindset, capable of coordinating and prioritizing tasks, while maintaining a strategic perspective. Strong logical thinking, decision-making skills, and effective communication are essential. You should thrive in a complex industry with various stakeholders, adapt to changes, and manage multiple projects with ease.
Additionally, we believe that you hold a relevant degree in Economics, Finance, and/or Accounting as well as being fluent in the Finnish language – written and verbal. Proficiency in other Scandinavian language will be a plus. Furthermore, having comprehensive written and verbal communication skills in English is essential.

Apart from Abacus many active sales markets, the company also has sales offices in 6 European countries: Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Spain and United Kingdom. The office in Copenhagen, Denmark functions as the headquarter for both the Group and Abacus Medicine.
