As Senior Global Trial Manager, you will be responsible for driving activities during the trial start-up, conduct, and finalization of phase 1 / clinical pharmacology trials. You have end-to-end knowledge of the entire trial lifecycle, and you use a risk-based approach in your planning and decision making.
Your core focus is to take a hands-on approach and assume full responsibility for the clinical trial work being executed. You drive the trial forward with the right stakeholders and take responsibility for close stakeholder collaboration and clear communication.
Your key responsibilities will also include:
• Ensure trial progress and handling issues and monitoring operational risks.
• Actioning and tracking deviations and amendments.
• Overseeing deliverables from vendors and other stakeholders, internally and externally.
• Drive successful collaboration with phase 1 CROs, special laboratories and local trial management.
• Facilitate efficient trial team meetings and other milestone-driven meetings.
• Support and on-the-job training of more junior colleagues. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
• MSc in Natural Science with minimum 4 years of relevant experience or BSc in Natural Science with, at least, 7 years of relevant experience (e.g., CRA, LTM, RTM, study nurse, CTA)
• Knowledge and experience in clinical trial methodology and operational aspects.
• Working with phase 1 / clinical pharmacology trials is an advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English. You are well versed in clinical trial methodology, and you bring creativity, flexibility, and an infectious can-do attitude. You have the confidence and personality to drive changes in the way we work across skill types.
As a person, you are a high performer with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. You create consensus across professional and geographical borders and build trust among colleagues to establish mutually profitable working relationships throughout the organization.

The Senior Global Trial Manager will be part of the Clinical Drug Development (CDD) organization within the larger Development organization. CDD is a project-centric organization driving the development portfolio through world-wide clinical trial activities in close collaboration with Novo Nordisk colleagues around the world.
