Do you have a solid foundation within operations management, and can you drive large international projects? Are you a strong people manager capable of leading an international team? Then you could be the next COO at Global Wind Service. You will be working from the company headquarters in Fredericia in Denmark. Your team will be positioned all over the world, handling international projects. Therefore, you can expect around 60 days of travel per year.
Strong leader with a holistic overview of complex international projects
Being part of the executive management team and reporting directly to the CEO, you will have the overall responsibility for all projects, project execution, and resource management across all business units. Our primary business activities are in Europe, US, and Asia Pacific. You will be managing a team of 9 people managers in direct reports located in Denmark and in different offices around Europe. Your main objectives will be to support your team and create a structured overview of large complex projects across the organisation while driving global improvement initiatives to meet the overall strategy of the company. The right candidate will strengthen the project organisation and make sure that it utilises its full capacity. Your success will depend on your ability to make sure the company exceeds customer expectations on safety, quality, and performance across executed projects. And to drive a cost-efficient and effective project execution with positive results. Other areas of responsibility will include:

Technical and commercial mindset combined with strong people management skills
You preferably have a master’s degree within engineering or business combined with good technical understanding/experience. It is crucial that you have a commercial mindset, understanding costumers and financials, and that you have experience dealing with international large-scale projects including understanding both the contractual terms, technician competences and the complexity in a project execution organisation. You are hands-on and curious to understand the technicians’ jobs, understanding which approach to take to drive major process changes. You have experience with international and cross-cultural people management and possess distance people management skills as well. In addition, you are strategically well-founded and a significant contributor in management meetings. Personally, you are a motivating and enthusiastic team player who thrives in a challenging environment. You are action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and take an innovative approach to operational management. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills and dare challenge the current mindset. Your management style is characterised by being visible and passionate about driving performance. Finally, you are fluent in spoken and written English.

- Strategic management of global resources and equipment
- Attending customer meetings, e.g., kick-off and sales meetings
- Being responsible for ensuring that contractual obligations are met during project execution and managing potential customer claims with internal legal team
- Drive process simplicity and business scalability through ways of working and a strong digitalization agenda within project execution and operation
- Taking an analytic and holistic view to ensure an optimal cross-functional value chain
