Restaurant Lai-Do has been established in the Kerkelanden area of Hilversum for 40 years and has been a family-owned business since 1999. Since 2016, we have been renovated into a modern Chinese-Indonesian restaurant, where we serve both traditional Chinese-Indonesian dishes and authentic Chinese cuisine. Customer friendliness and quality are our top priorities.
To maintain our standards and continue the Chinese-Indonesian culinary tradition, we are looking for an independent cook I.

Employment type: Full-time, 38 hours

Salary: €2,444.00 – €2,959.00 gross, in accordance with the hospitality industry collective labor agreement (CAO) and depending on experience

Responsibilities:
• Preparing ingredients, such as chopping vegetables and making various sauces
• Preparing Chinese-Indonesian dishes using basic cooking techniques such as steaming, boiling, grilling, and deep-frying, with interim quality checks for taste and doneness
• Contributing ideas to seasonal menus, such as the Christmas menu
• Working closely with the head chef and following instructions
• Keeping track of inventory and submitting supply lists
• Supervising and directing kitchen assistants
• Monitoring hygiene in accordance with HACCP standards
• Ensuring the quality of ingredients
Requirements:
• Recognized culinary diploma at MBO level 3
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Stress-resistant and able to work efficiently under pressure
• Eager to learn and willing to expand your knowledge of Chinese-Indonesian cuisine
