Do you want to be a part of creating a new IKEA? We are looking for a Social Media Specialist for our new city store in Copenhagen. This Customer Meeting Point will be classified as an IKEA Small Store and will be situated in the city centre of Copenhagen, where we will bring IKEA closer to the many people.
You will be joining an exciting build-up journey of our new city store together with 300 colleagues growing the greater Copenhagen market together with our stores in Gentofte and Taastrup.
In the city store, we will welcome 3 million visitors yearly to a store filled with inspiration, high vitality and many activities where we interact and co-create with our customers on a frequent basis during all times of the day, evenings and weekends. The store will offer a selected range of Home Furnishing accessories and small furniture items for immediate takeaway, and through strong inspiration we will show the width of our home furnishing offer that our customers can order with relevant services.
What you'll be doing day to day
To create digital content for social media that contributes to positioning the IKEA brand in the local market as the leader in life at home. Storytelling aligned with our identity related to home furnishing solutions and upcoming ongoing activities in the store to attract visitors and make it easier for people to know who we are, understand our values and make them trust us.
A day in your life with us:
• Use creativity and home furnishing competence to create social media content that is engaging, relevant, and in line with IKEA’s brand identity and IKEA tone of voice.
• Actively cooperate with Regional Marketing and Store Commercial Team to create content on social media to support the store´s yearly commercial calendar.
• Develop creative ideas, create strong and compelling stories and make the story come alive by engaging followers on social media channels and platforms.
• Stay up to date and knowledgeable about home furnishing, retailing and trends.
• Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
• Ensure optimal reach and frequency spent across social platforms and outreach to bloggers/influencers.
• Ensure that all executions are aligned with IKEA Brand Values, Tone of Voice and the IKEA Brand copy identity guidelines to secure that the results are consistent, relevant, engaging and unique.
Who are you?
• Visually strong and aesthetic skills in creating infographics, videos and photography.
• Ability to combine commercial, aesthetic and practical skills, generate, visualize and present new ideas.
• Copywriting skills that are engaging, attractive, compelling and aligned with IKEA’s tone of voice.
• Knowledge of working with social media tools.
• An interest and passion for social media and the opportunities it presents for reaching & interacting with audiences in new ways, and an interest in staying up to date on the latest developments and best practices.
• Ability to work together with others in a team as much as on your own.
• Have a flexible and hands-on approach to meet the set deadlines.
• Motivated to live and share our IKEA culture and values.
Together as a team
You will be part of the Communication & Interior Design team. We are a team of 13 co-workers and 4 leaders. The Graphic team are a team of 3, a Leader, a Co-worker and a SoMe Specialist.
You will be part of creating an innovative, fun and inspirational shopping experience for the many Copenhageners. We will have a high focus on customer behaviour, Life at Home, collaboration with customers and retail movements. We will be dynamic, innovative, creative and above all, we will be brave retailers. We will be creating a better everyday life for the many people.

OTHER INFORMATION
• This position will include evening and weekend shifts due to participation in events and activities.
• Salary within IKEA’s salary policy based on your competencies and including pension.
• We have various staff benefits including private health insurance, massage, staff canteen, staff discount, a discount club with external partners, yearly gift, bonus etc.
• Start date 1st of August 2023.
• We have an ongoing interview process and reserve the right to close the job when we have received enough qualified candidates.
• For this position we don't have mobility, help to move to Denmark.
