What is the job about?
As an Optix Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our strategic FactoryTalk Optix platform. Working closely with our Platform Owner and agile teams, you’ll define standards, design architecture, and build core modules in C#. Your expertise will support business-driven applications in real production environments, driving innovation and operational excellence.
Your main responsibilities

Collaborate with the Platform Owner to define architecture, development standards, and governance for FactoryTalk Optix applications
Design and develop core platform modules in C# for use across application teams
Provide technical guidance to application developers, ensuring best practices in platform usage and integration with manufacturing systems
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve platform-level issues in production
Work with scrum masters and product owners to enable smooth platform–application collaboration
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation

Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment, monitoring, and support processes
Your background
We imagine that you have:

Strong experience with C# development in industrial or enterprise software environments (must-have)
Hands-on experience with HMI/SCADA systems, ideally FactoryTalk Optix or similar platforms (Ignition, WinCC, etc.)
Good understanding of industrial automation, manufacturing IT systems, and IIoT connectivity (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT)
Experience defining software architecture, coding standards, and governance
Problem-solving skills and troubleshooting experience in production environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have: Knowledge of Rockwell Automation products, edge/cloud deployment, and agile/DevOps principles
