Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Hybrid Greentech, Greater Copenhagen Area

Hybrid Greentech is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of financial strategy and operations in a fast-growing green energy company. You will play a key role in scaling the finance function, supporting future funding rounds, and preparing for international growth – helping accelerate the renewable energy transition.

Role impact

As CFO, you will drive the professionalization and scaling of Hybrid Greentech’s financial operations. We are in an exciting scale-up phase with a proven concept, moving towards international expansion and long-term growth. You will not be building finance “from scratch,” but instead shaping and strengthening the structure, processes, and strategies that enable us to scale effectively.

Your impact will be measured through financial performance, operational reliability, support for major corporate initiatives such as funding and IPO preparation, and the ability to provide strategic insights that guide company direction.

Key responsibilities

Strategic & Financial Leadership

• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define Hybrid Greentech’s financial strategy.
• Manage long-term financial planning, including funding rounds and IPO preparation.
• Provide financial insights to the Board of Directors and senior management.

Financial Operations

• Oversee budgeting, internal and external reporting, compliance, and integrity of financial data.
• Drive continuous improvements in accounting, controlling, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with taxation, VAT, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage inter-company financial transactions.
• Setup project accounting, including project profitability analysis.

Support business decisions through financial analysis.Business Growth Support

• Support entry into new markets and trading activities in collaboration with technical and trading teams.
• Align financial operations with corporate initiatives and growth objectives.
• Lead the finance team in scaling with company growth.

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally within energy trading, commodity trading, or related sectors.
• Strong expertise in accounting, controlling, reporting, compliance, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially E-Conomic and preferably MS Dynamics Business Central.
• Experience with public funding and project accounting is an advantage.
• A hands-on, pragmatic approach combined with strong strategic thinking.
