About the Role

As a Marine Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our fleet operates in alignment with our core values and strategic goals. You’ll support the Marine Specialist Manager and contribute specialist knowledge across a wide range of nautical and operational areas. This is a unique opportunity to influence safety standards, vessel design, and operational procedures across our global fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Support safe and efficient ship management across Fleet Management & Technology (FMT)
• Act as a subject matter expert in retrofit, new building, and port/terminal projects
• Participate in casualty management and incident investigations
• Provide technical input on vessel design, stowage, lashing, fuel optimization, and maneuvering
• Monitor and respond to new maritime legislation
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Fleet Technology, Cargo Management, and Global Stowage
• Represent company interests with external stakeholders such as flag and port state authorities, industry organizations, and customers

What We’re Looking For

• Preferred Senior Officer with more than 5 years experience
• Proven leadership experience in maritime operations
• Self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes initiative to drive projects forward
• Strong command of maritime technical and nautical terminology
• Detail-oriented mindset with a drive to challenge the status quo
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (both internal and external)
