Do you want to enhance health & safety development in an international organisation? Can you take initiative, motivate others, and ensure compliance with Danish Health & Safety regulations? And are you experienced in developing and implementing health & safety management systems, with a strategic and operational mindset? Then, become our Health & Safety Director and contribute to creating a safer tomorrow.
Enhance sustainable health & safety practices
To ensure a steady course and a deeper integration of our management system into business processes and culture, we are looking for a Health & Safety Director to join our team. We are a Group team, utilising our skills globally, with the responsibility for the Danish part of the organisation, comprising close to 4,000 employees. Our team includes 15 management representatives and 20 safety representatives, working alongside our customers on some of Denmark’s most significant and innovative projects in health and safety.
We are proud to have contributed to projects like the ISO 45001:2018 certification initiative, which strategically improved all aspects of health & safety within our Danish business, and other prestigious projects in the construction and environmental research industries.
Your key responsibilities will be:
• Collaborate with the Health & Safety Organisation, including employee and management representatives at HQ, regional offices, and on-site projects to set the direction and facilitate continuous HS development.
• Promote an environment prioritising Health & Safety to support a speak-up culture, enabling learning from mistakes and collective improvement.
• Ensure A/S complies with national legal requirements under Arbejdsmiljøloven and any Group requirements from the ISO 45001 certification.
• Participate in Group H&S activities and Support and provide sparring to the overall responsible Group Team (QHSE).
• Oversee and follow up on findings from external ISO 45001 audits for A/S.
• Provide HS performance input to the Management Review, report to Senior Management, liaise with relevant stakeholders, and ensure timely communication of H&S performance information to key stakeholders.
Your Skills. Our Team. Together, we design the future.
Like us, you believe that leadership success comes from setting a clear and meaningful direction. You’re skilled at organising and coordinating a group around a common purpose, encouraging ownership and open, trust-based dialogue. You encourage and uplift peers through teamwork and positive feedback, allowing each individual to play their part effectively. Attracting and developing a diverse group of high-potential team members is at the top of your agenda, as is creating an inclusive, caring and trusting culture around the Health and Safety area.
On top of that, you will:
• Hold 5+ years of experience in developing health & safety strategies and objectives within international organisations.
• Implement, maintain, and further develop health & safety management systems in DK, including management reviews, objective setting, process descriptions, communication, and training.
• Understand all health and safety risk factors in psycho-social and physical work environments, using a risk-based approach.
• Ensure compliance and contribute to ISO 45001 certification: familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, 27001.
• Stay updated with new developments, studies, and initiatives in health and safety management and improvements.
• Experience with on-site or field engineering work is beneficial.
• Possess effective communication skills in Danish and English.
