Nurses Wanted in Denmark
If you are a trained nurse and want to explore the adventures of living and working in one of the happiest nations in the world, you may be interested in working as a nurse in Denmark – known for ‘hygge’, work-life balance and fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen’s the Little Mermaid.
We are looking for skilled nurses who are interested in moving to Denmark, where you ultimately will become a part of a professional team of nurses that will be sent to hospitals around Denmark.
The two-year process of getting a Danish authorization.
You need an authorization before you can start working as a nurse in Denmark. This process takes a minimum of two years. In the meantime, you must learn to speak Danish by attending Danish language school two times a week. These classes can also be attended online.
Full time job offered during authorization process.
In the two-year process of getting the Danish authorization, you will be offered a fulltime job as a disability helper, where you will be working in the clients’ private homes. The job as a disability helper has variable working hours, and you will be working as part of a team in a rewarding job.
In the job as a disability helper, you will help the person with everything they need to live their lives – you will be their ‘arms and legs’ so to speak. Amongst the tasks are:
· Practical help.
· Personal care.
· Escorting the client out of the house.
Professional experience and qualifications wanted:
· You must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a hospital nurse.
· You must be able to work unassisted and make quick, independent decisions.
· You must be capable with a high level of professionalism.
· You must speak and write fluent English.
Personal qualifications wanted:
In working with both hospital patients and the disabled, we put great stock into your ability to take the patient’s perspective, so it is important that you are empathic and kind.
As you will be working on a multitude of things for the first two-year period, both getting your authorization, learning Danish and working full-time as a disability helper, it is important that you are ambitious, curious, and open to new challenges and other ways of thinking and living.
We are looking for team players who are skilled and reliable, but who can also adapt to new situations and changes.
Practical help given.
Our company, , will help you with practical issues such as getting a housing application for Danish authorization, tax card, civil registration number, bank account and other practical issues.
You will get a competitive salary and good working conditions, including 5 weeks annual vacation with full pay. The workhours per month will be 165 hours.
