The position As Department Assistant, you will be the backbone of our Business Support Department which includes our Project Management team and our Training team. More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:
  • To support the Senior Manager and department with administrative tasks such as calendar management, meeting preparation, financial management, procurement, hiring processes etc.
  • Plan department activities such as workshops, seminars, team-building and social events.
  • Keeping an overview of department financials and budgeting
  • Support colleagues within the department with ad hoc tasks and be the go-to person
  • Be an active member of our administrative group across the area assisting with ad hoc tasks and striving for standardisation across
  • Besides working with administrative tasks for the department manager for Business Support you will work together with the Project managers and Project Portfolio manager. Your coordinating skills will come into play when you ensure the right focus on coordinating tasks, workshops, and events as well as coordinating when hiring new employees/consultants. The success of your work will be vital to the success of our area. This is to some degree a flexible role, which means that you will be able to influence and shape the content of the role according to your qualifications and ongoing business needs. Qualifications To succeed in this role you must have the following qualifications:
  • 3+ years’ relevant work experience with administrative tasks, project coordination will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Package and preferably strong with Power Point and SharePoint.
  • Great IT skills and the ability to easily adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical sector or other GMP regulated sectors is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbally, in English and Danish.
  • As a person, you need to have a strong personal drive and a continuous focus on effectiveness and improvement. You have a structured mindset and a great ability to organize, plan and coordinate. Furthermore, you can communicate effortless with different levels of the organisation and thrive in an atmosphere where you will rarely be able to plan long-term as tasks of high priority will land on your table from day to day. About the department BRD Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Denmark is located in Gentofte, Hillerød and Kalundborg. This is where the active ingredients going into all our life-saving biotech products, are made by app. 500 committed colleagues. We manufacture through complex chemical and biotechnological processes requiring a high level of expertise, commitment, and engagement from our employees and including cultivation, recovery, purification and freeze-drying.
