The position As Senior Secondary Packaging Engineer in Future Secondary Packaging & Product Communication, you will be responsible for developing the Secondary Packaging for our Medical Device products. You will develop specifications using CAD software and be responsible for coordinating the design input, from a wide range of stakeholders both in Novo Nordisk and external partners. Your Design Input will come from our Mechanical Engineers, Graphic Designers, User Communications Developers, Machine builders and external suppliers. You will primarily work with products in R&D, but you will also be involved in product Design Transfer from Development to our colleagues in Product Maintenance. To succeed in this role, you will develop solutions to match the needs of our patients as well as our stakeholders, using your design expertise, patient-oriented approach, and your understanding of upstream and downstream processes. As such, your role is to safeguard the product functionality holistically, to ensure the best trade-off decisions are made to the benefit of the company and our patients. You can look forward to a position where your work has a high impact on the packaging of the device products that reach the patients. Where you have access to our own prototyping workshop and can work iteratively with your design. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree withing engineering or similar. Alternatively, you have experience within Secondary Packaging Development
• Experience with Design Control or experience from working in or with a highly regulated industry, e.g., medico or pharmaceuticals, automotive or aerospace. You could have a background within printing/converting
• Experience with CAD and/or IMPACT, MS Office and master IT systems in general
• Technical flair and familiar with technical drawings and construction
• It is an advantage if you have knowledge of secondary packaging raw materials
• Language proficiency in both written and spoken English at a professional level As a person you have good interpersonal skills, a collaborative attitude, and can accept compromising to accommodate different countering trade-offs. You have a high degree of flexibility as the tasks are varied, and the priority of projects and tasks may change. You are good at keeping an overview of your tasks and you are analytical and systematic and have excellent communication skills. Besides you are capable of project planning to ensure timely delivery of your own and colleagues’ deliverables. About the department You will become a member of the Future Secondary Packaging & Product Communication team. The team is responsible for conceptualise and develop Secondary Packaging solutions and Product Communication. We sit within the broader area of Design & User Experience, also consisting of: User Research & Insights, Design, and Prototype Development.
