We offer
You will become part of Funding & Markets, part of Group Treasury & Risk, where you’ll be part of the team responsible for all external funding activities (project finance, bond issuance, asset finance) of the A.P. Møller - Maersk Group, and relationships with credit rating agencies, bond investors, banks, and export credit agencies. In addition, the team is responsible for internal financing, trade finance and interest rate risk on group level. You will also work closely with a newly established commercial team that is about to expand and have the responsibility for developing green fuel projects globally.
The role is based in Copenhagen, but the scope is global, and a few travel days should be expected.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Take the lead on identifying available funding options and executing project finance transactions at the most beneficial rates and terms
- Originating, managing, structuring, and leading discussions and negotiations with lenders
- Lead the negotiations and execution of Financings Agreements
- Engaging with various project advisors including financial advisors, DD advisors, legal advisors
- Ensure the project finance is raised in line with business requirements and lending terms meet business requirements and are structured with a long-term vision of balanced terms between borrower and lender
- Accountable for managing and ensuring compliance with lending conditions
- Support bankability assessments of the green fuel projects
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with financing parties, including lenders, project investors, and others
Who we are looking for – skills needed:
We are looking for the right person to join us on this incredible journey, where you will lead the strategy and execute the plan to raise all external debt processes related to our green fuel project. Furthermore, you will work closely together with the business development team, project teams, engineering, and finance to bring the transactions to a financial close and support bankability assessments of the green fuel projects.
As for the skillset and experience, we are looking for:
- 10+ years of large-scale complex infrastructure projects and deep experience in infrastructure /renewable energy project finance origination and structuring.
- Solid understanding of the arrangement of complex multi-source financing involving commercial banks, ECAs, DFIs, and multilateral.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to win negotiation points with external parties and key decisions with senior leaders and business stakeholders
- ‘Self-starter attitude’, sees opportunities and invites self to the table
- An entrepreneurial way of thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and fluent in spoken and written English
- Detail-oriented, structured, and comfortable working in international environments with constant change
