The Ellen Group at the Copenhagen Marriott, is looking for a performance and operations manager to cover a 12-month maternity leave, with the possibility of extension depending on company growth.
This role is perfect for an experienced leader who thrives on both people and processes. It’s well-suited for someone who enjoys being present with their team, setting the tone for the day, and inspiring others to do their best work. At the same time, you’ll need the structure and confidence to oversee operations and lead with accountability. About the Role
The role is split between two areas of responsibility:
80% Performance Management
20% Operations Management

About the Role
The role is split between two areas of responsibility:
80% Performance Management
- Care for and motivate employees: be present, approachable, and supportive
- Lead daily morning meetings and set the tone for the team
- Be present on the floor, supporting and motivating staff
- Plan and execute motivating events to strengthen team spirit
- Conduct operational tours and quality inspections
- Ensure procedures are being followed and provide feedback based on data
- Hold feedback and accountability conversations when needed with empathy and fairness
- Lead monthly meetings focusing on past performance and future planning
- Conduct weekly meetings with trainers and supervisors
- Maintain a healthy and engaging work environment
20% Operations Management
- Lead recruitment: hire, interview, and onboard all new team members
- Lead 2 managers and oversee ~75 employees
- Serve as contract owner towards both the hotel and The Ellen Group
- Present monthly meetings to leadership, reviewing results and planning ahead
- Ensure alignment between operational needs and employee well-being
About You
- Proven experience as a people and operations leader (hotel experience is an advantage, but not required)
- Structured and organized, able to balance multiple responsibilities
- A natural energizer who motivates people and brings positivity into the workplace
- Sincerely caring: you connect with people as individuals and lead with empathy
- Comfortable having both encouraging and difficult conversations
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken (Danish is an advantage)
