[xxxxx] is seeking an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented Product Governance Specialist to join our Product Ownership team.

About the Job

As Product Governance Specialist you will be part of a team that is comprised of product owners who are subject matter experts for the suite of financial products offered by [xxxxx].

The role involves ensuring that our products are aligned with the client’s needs, the company’s commercial strategy and wider regulatory requirements, while also supporting the overall governance framework within the bank.

Success will enable the product owners and the wider team to meet regulatory and legal obligations and build a platform on which our trading teams can swiftly adapt to new circumstances.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with experienced product specialists to define and document innovative product specifications and improvements
  • Coordinate with legal, compliance and other regulatory teams to ensure product compliance
  • Work closely with the trading desk, commercial and marketing teams to ensure commercial strategy translated into product enhancements and features
  • Gather and consolidate information on our financial products from various stakeholders
  • Produce management reports to provide insights into product performance and inform decision-making processes
  • Organize interactions between different teams, mapping out regulatory responsibilities and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Be in close dialogue and collaboration with IT to ensure effective solutions and support business needs

Your Profile

We are seeking a highly qualified individual with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and project management skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient English writing skills are essential for this role.

You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. A detail-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving are crucial for success in this position. You should be comfortable working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as the role involves writing policy documents, creating presentations, and analyzing large datasets.

Previous experience in a similar role within the financial services industry is a plus. Additionally, an understanding of financial products and services, experience with SQL queries and data analysis, and technical writing skills for creating clear and concise reports will be highly beneficial.
