Milestone is looking for a Content Operations Engineer to lead the transformation of our content authoring, publishing, and localization workflows.
Content Operations Engineer
This role plays a critical part in moving us from manual, fragile processes to modern, automated, and resilient systems that support our accelerated release cadence and global growth.
From day one, you will work closely with content design, development, localization, and systems teams to improve reliability, speed, quality, and transparency across the entire content lifecycle.
The role reports to the relevant content and experience leadership within Milestone.

Auditing and mapping end-to-end content workflows across authoring, publishing, and localization Identifying bottlenecks, single-person dependencies, and failure points and addressing them through automation and process redesign Introducing monitoring, metrics, and reporting to improve transparency, reliability, and decision-making Evaluating existing tools and defining a prioritized roadmap for integrations or replacements Designing and implementing automated workflows, including CI/CD-style pipelines for content deployment and updates Collaborating closely with content designers, developers, system architects, and localization teams to improve cross-functional efficiency Exploring and integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance automation, quality assurance, and scalability Documenting and socializing new workflows and standards across the organization

3–5 years of experience in content operations, technical documentation, dev ops, localization processes, or similar roles A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technical Communication, or a related field Hands-on experience with automation, API integrations, scripting, and workflow orchestration Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and cloud-based infrastructure Experience working with or around CMS, TMS, or terminology management systems Exposure to our strong interest in AI-assisted content workflows Experience influencing cross-functional teams and driving process change
3–5 years of experience in content operations, technical documentation, dev ops, localization processes, or similar roles
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technical Communication, or a related field
Hands-on experience with automation, API integrations, scripting, and workflow orchestration
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and cloud-based infrastructure

Exposure to our strong interest in AI-assisted content workflows
Experience influencing cross-functional teams and driving process change
