The Chief Patient Office at is a strategic function within Global Medical Affairs, working cross-functionally with Development, Public Affairs, Legal, Compliance and external partners to co-create value-adding solutions for patients worldwide. All +30 colleagues work dedicated to ensuring that patient needs and perspectives are systematically incorporated into decision-making processes across the therapy development value chain. Based at our headquarters in Denmark, this department plays a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes, building trust with patient associations, and enhancing ’s reputation as a long-term partner committed to driving change for people living with chronic diseases. You will be reporting to the CVP for GMA Evidence & Insights and part of the CVP-leadership team. The CVP area includes Evidence & Partnerships, Patient Voice, and Digital Transformation.

we believe in putting patients at the center of everything we do. We are looking for a Chief Patient Officer and VP for our Patient Voice team to lead the charge in shaping patient-centric strategies that drive meaningful change for people living with chronic diseases. The position
As Chief Patient Officer in , you will be at the forefront of ’s commitment to patient centricity. You will lead a global team and act as a key voice in ensuring that patient insights are systematically integrated from early research through to the market. This includes:
- Developing and implementing strategies to establish
- Responsibility for Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs) to support regulatory claims, patient preference studies, and related interactions with regulatory bodies.
- Building and enhancing meaningful partnerships with patients and patient associations to deliver treatments that better meet their needs.
- Driving early and meaningful patient voice activities across the therapy development value chain.
- Representing
- Ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards in all patient engagement activities.
- Leading cross-functional teams to deliver on patient-centric goals and managing the associated budget and resources.
- Coaching and developing team members to build a high-performance unit aligned with the
Qualifications
We are looking for a visionary leader with:
- A university degree in medical, biological or pharmaceutical sciences (MBA is a plus)
- At least 10 years of experience in drug or device development in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong understanding of the full product lifecycle combined with good Global Medical Affairs understanding
- Proven leadership experience, including leading through others and building high-performing teams
- International experience in a patient centric role with demonstrated understanding of the key functions and compliance framework in pharma
- A track record of working with patient organisations and public-private partnerships
- Strong public presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience with governmental bodies, health authorities and international forums
- A global mindset and the ability to navigate complex, cross-functional environments as well as negotiating critical matters and handle tough divergent communication
