About the role
We are looking for a motivated Modelling & Simulation Engineer to join our growing team in the Technology & Trends department, as part of our API Powerhouse aspiration.
In the Technology & Trends department, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team of engineers, students and specialists working in process engineering and process architecture. We are a newly established team, and our ambition is to support our client(s) in facility design impact (FDI), a novel concept that we are working on which translates how early-stage design decisions affect facility design from a systems (process, utilities and layout) perspective. We would like to leverage simulation as a foundation for this quantitative analysis. Our work primarily takes place before the typical pharma project phases (Conceptual/Basic Design) and when FDI impacts project phases in Basic/Detail Design.
Whether you are a recent graduate or an industry professional with a focus on mathematical modelling and simulation of process/flowsheet alternatives, this role offers a unique opportunity to interject and apply theory for Good-Engineering Practice, in order to have a real business impact. You’ll play a key role in close collaboration with customers and our Specialists to identify and evaluate relevant process configurations. The basis of the problem is multi- domain and -disciplinary.
Examples of our project offerings span from small-scale API development and pilot facilities to full-scale manufacturing plants, supporting our customers to make timely and informed decisions.

As an experienced Process Simulation Engineer, you'll be working with projects in a multi-disciplinary team where you'll:
- Get the opportunity to participate and contribute to consultancy for establishing a data-based basis for decision for state-of-the-art API facilities to secure our clients ability to send safe product to the market.
- Prepare process simulation scenarios to be evaluated with the customer and Process Senior Specialists.
- Translate data from the customers into process options via simulation, combined with Senior Process Specialist knowledge to evaluate relevant options
- Work in close cooperation with our customers, Senior Specialists and other simulation engineers
- Participate in alignment sessions with customers and Technology & Trends as well as colleagues from the Process Systems Intelligence (PSI) area.
- Interact with experts and colleagues from other disciplines.

- You have a degree in engineering within chemical/mechanical engineering with a focus on modeling and simulation, process systems engineering, mechanistic modelling with and aptitude for flowsheet modelling and simulation.
- You have minimum 2 years working experience and have some experience from Pharmaceutical, Life science manufacturing or Food production industry.
- You have experience with process simulation, preferable experience with the use of InoSim and MATLAB.
- You speak and write Danish and English.
