The position One of our top priorities in Strategic Sourcing is to develop our specialist perspective on supplier sustainability, and within this topic engage with stakeholders and develop data management excellence across our unit. As a Sustainability Consultant, you will work closely with your colleagues in a Sustainability and Risk management advisory team of 6 people, who together are setting the direction for Strategic Sourcing’s work with suppliers on the sustainability agenda. You will be engaged in various initiatives related to both our social and environmental responsibilities in the collaboration with our suppliers, where priorities are driven by ambitious internal and external target setting and commitments on sustainability. To deliver on priorities you will be working with a diverse set of stakeholders across Strategic Sourcing, suppliers, other sourcing units and corporate functions. Depending on your skills and preferences you may expect to be involved in: Drive and develop our Responsible Sourcing programme covering ethics, human rights, social, health & safety as well as environmental compliance Advisory on compliance with ethics and sustainability requirements to category managers and negotiators of supply- and outsourcing agreements Assess impacts and best practice for ensuring compliance with upcoming legislative frameworks on sustainability, and drive due diligence activities related to our global supply chains Analysis and project management tasks related to the circular supply tracks of the corporate environmental strategy, Circular for Zero Drive capability building and develop communication materials for internal and external use Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to: Hold a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field e.g. sustainability, supply chain, procurement, business, or engineering Have minimum 2 years of relevant experience from working with sustainability or procurement project management, supply chain or business development in an international organization or a consulting company Have a passion for sustainability in a corporate setting and preferably possess knowledge of sustainability frameworks and legislations such CSRD, EUDR and CSDDD Be fluent in English, both written and spoken Additionally, you enjoy working in a multicultural and high-pace environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work, even when the pressure is on About the department Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. We are commercially responsible for ensuring that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international suppliers, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world to live with chronic diseases. You will be part of the Risk and Supplier Sustainability department, where we act as centre of excellence across strategic sourcing teams by setting direction and contributing with value-adding specialist sparring on topics related to Risk Mgmt. and Sustainability. You will enter a thorough, yet fast-paced and ambitious environment, where we collaborate closely with stakeholders inside and outside Strategic Sourcing, an area consisting of around 110 employees working with sourcing and negotiation for the global production network. You will be located in Bagsværd, Denmark, where 5 competent colleagues in the team look forward to welcoming you.
