We are searching for a product owner for Finance Solutions
This position is based at our friendly office in Herning, Denmark and you will join our Finance Solutions domain. Finance Solutions is on an exciting, and challenging business and technology transformation journey to build and provide a new modern Finance Business Solution based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance to the customers.
We are looking for self-propelled and structured product owner with experience in financial reporting, accounting, or controlling to join forces to lead the business transformation initiatives and associated work. This also requires a good portion of planning, financial, risk and stakeholder management as you will be having an additional functional role as epic owner.
The product owner position offers a challenging and important part in this transformation where you will contribute to the solution transformation roadmap and lead feature refinement across the domain. You will prepare the product backlog features for the agile development teams across the domain, where most of the work is anchored in the business strategic initiative “Enterprise Finance Platform” and bec's cloud adoption journey.
The Finance Solutions Product Management team is responsible for the demand and requirement side of how we deliver working software. You will be involved in refining business requirements as well as non-functional requirements for solutions for financial management, controlling and reporting that enable our customers to prepare their monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
At bec, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also support flexibility and keep the opportunity to work remotely.
Your direct manager will be Product Manager, Martin Kjærlund Assens.
Primary task and responsibilities include:
In the position as product owner, you will work closely with product manager, product owners, development managers, domain architect and team architects internally in Finance Solutions, but also externally with experts from other domains like Payments, Core Banking and Capital Market Risk. And not least with our customers.
Your key objective is to break down the work and refine the work in collaboration with the internal and external stakeholders, so the agile delivery teams can execute efficiently during the portfolio increments.
- Maintain, refine, and prioritize product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders
- Contribute to the content of the domain roadmap
- Communicate product vision and strategy
- Manage changes and value creation
- Lead and drive the feature refinement processes
- Understand the business needs and requirement
- Understand how technology can add value to customers
To succeed you will have:
- A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Educational background at bachelor or master level
- Experience with preparing financial statements, controlling or financial reporting
- Strong motivator and communicator – always explain the WHY
- Ambitious and set the bar high – with your product, your team, and yourself
- Strong stakeholder management
- Our target state is clear, but the transformational path and steps are not. Therefore, you must be curious and willing to learn new things continuously
- Fun to be around
It’s nice-to-have:
- Experience with working in an agile organization
- Experience with controlling, reporting or financial management from the financial sector
- Project management or product owner experience
- Knowledge on ERP Platforms like D365 Finance & Operations would be a benefit, but not a requirement
