Who Are We?: (DRC) is an international humanitarian organization dedicated to assisting, protecting, and finding solutions for refugees, internally displaced and other conflict-affected communities. DRC engages with displacement-affected populations from the onset of forced displacement through to the achievement of a durable solution. This entails rapid emergency response, working towards durable solutions from the earliest feasible stage, and preparedness to address new stressors and shocks as they emerge. To meet the needs of the people we serve, we are exploring new, innovative ways of responding to displacement crises.
About The Job: The vacancy relates to work that falls under DRC’s Solutions to Displacement Platform. DRC is looking for a highly qualified individual to coordinate the project Bridging Regions, Building Futures: Advancing durable solutions to displacement through joint action bridging global policy and implementation (BRBF). This three-year project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), seeks to support durable solutions for displaced people in Afghanistan, Myanmar, the Horn of Africa, Great Lakes, and the Middle East by generating and sharing evidence, improving coordination, advocating for rights, involving displaced persons in responses, and strengthening government capacity to address displacement. These efforts aim to help practitioners and local actors remove systemic barriers and support displaced people in accessing services, rights, and livelihood opportunities. The project is a collaboration between DRC, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and the Regional Durable Solutions Secretariat for the Horn and East Africa (ReDSS), Asia Displacement Solutions Platform (ADSP) and the Middle East Durable Solutions Platform (ME DSP), which are all hosted by DRC Regional Offices.
The Project Coordinator will assume overall coordination and administrative responsibility for the project. He/she will be technically supported by the Global Coordination Committee (GCC) – composed of DRC’s Global Lead on Solutions to Displacement and NRC’s Global Lead on Durable Solutions and Self-Reliance.
He/she will oversee the timely implementation of the project, coordinate reporting duties, templates, and timelines; compile global reporting and monitoring and evaluation data; convene project partners to ensure alignment with the global program cycle, agree on adjustments and supporting with logistics for the organization of global events. The HQ project coordinator will be supported by the Implementing Network (INET) support team (DRC Global Grant/Finance/HR/SC/IT) for global activities and overall reporting.

About You: To be successful in this role we expect you to have a master’s degree and 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar coordination role overseeing complex projects, coordinating across organizational entities and engaging with external stakeholder or a bachelor’s degree with 4 to 6 years of comparable experience. Although this position is focused on project coordination, experience with and knowledge of displacement and durable solutions is a significant value add. All employees should master DRC's core competencies: Communicating, Taking the lead, Collaborating, Striving for excellence and Demonstrating integrity.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC. The position is at ‘fuldmægtig’ level. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.

Leadership and Coordination
- Assume overall responsibility for programme and budget monitoring by leading the coordination of project cycle management processes and ensure ReDSS, ADSP, ME DSP, DRC and NRC (project partners) are accountability to their commitments.
- Ensure project budget holders and finance staff prepare regular budget vs actual reports for effective budget management.
- Provide key project information to project members to support project effectiveness.
- Lead recruitment and management of consultants for global project components.
Compliance and Support
- Collaborate with and coordinate between assigned finance, grants and administrative staff.
- Coordinate project partners in relation to project inception, implementation, and closeout activities, including approvals, waivers, allowances, funding, procurement and audit documentation.
- Support finance staff in verifying financial reports and expenditures, coordinating audits, and advising on donor requirements for finance, procurement, HR, and visibility.
- Maintain a project risk register, monitor risks, and implement mitigation measures.
- Support and contribute to the development of DRC’s wider solutions work, including development of tools, policies and programmatic guidance.
Program Implementation
- Lead the development of the project's intervention strategy and Theory of Change with the GCC Global Lead on Durable Solutions.
- Ensure the timely delivery of agreed outputs and quality program implementation in line with the agreed strategy.
- Ensure cohesive planning and implementation of the project, maintaining clear communication and accountability to the donor.
- Develop the Monitoring and Evaluation Framework in coordination with the global MEAL Unit.
Representation and Advocacy
- Serve as the primary project representative to SDC and other stakeholders.
- Promote the use of project-generated knowledge and learning internally and externally.
- Support the development of and ensure compliance with donor branding requirements.
Reporting and Communication
- Establish and maintain clear lines of communication with project partners and plan and support the implementation of yearly global meetings in coordination with GCC.
- Manage donor compliance, reporting, and deadlines in collaboration with the Grants and Finance team.
- Develop reporting templates, compile global reports, and monitor and evaluate progress
- Ensure timely submission of quality financial and narrative reports by project partners.
- Track project expenditures in collaboration with the finance team.
