Your role in our team

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Your key responsibilities include:

• Design and implement backend services in Java, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Take technical ownership of significant components or initiatives — from design through deployment and lifecycle evolution
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and long-term technical direction
• Collaborating with cross-functional peers in product, systems engineering, and infrastructure
• Help mature our DevOps practices — we are transitioning towards Kubernetes, containerization, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code
• Act as a technical mentor to other engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and informal coaching
• Drive quality through automated testing, observability, and continuous delivery pipelines

Bring your world class expertise into play

You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience developing backend systems, ideally in Java and the Java ecosystem
• Experience designing modular, testable, and resilient software systems
• Hands-on familiarity with containerized infrastructure, modern CI/CD pipelines, and production-grade Kubernetes environments
• A strong sense of product and system thinking – you understand the ‘why’ behind the code and how your work fits into a broader context
• Ability to navigate complex domains and collaborate with experts across software, hardware, and systems disciplines
• A bias toward clarity, simplicity, and sustainability in your engineering decisions

Moreover, it is a plus but not a requirement, if you have:

• Experience working in regulated or high-reliability environments (defense, aerospace, medtech, fintech)
• Exposure to real-time systems, sensor platforms, or mission-critical software
• Hands-on experience developing for or integrating with radar systems
• Familiarity with observability tooling
• Experience working across multiple teams or mentoring junior engineers
