Shipping Container fleet has grown significantly over 2021 and 2022 as shipping lines and leasing companies have invested significantly in new containers. As demand softens and operational bottle necks improve, we expect a large surplus of containers. This surplus of containers provides us the opportunities to explore alternative usage of containers.
We need ambitious and curious colleagues who can explore alternate usages of containers with our customers and other stakeholders and drive the development and build of new products and services.
The role as Business Designer has the mandate to explore new avenues and build new long-lasting solutions. As the supply chain issues are normalising and demand softening, there is also a need to find solutions.We Offer

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the product development processes
- Interview customers and other stakeholders from different parts of the world to identify value creation opportunities
- Design products to realise the identified value creation opportunities.
- Design the underlying processes to deliver the product to customers and other stakeholders.
- Drive standardisation, simplification and automation of the processes to ensure consistent delivery to customers.
- Follow up and ensure value creation is realised during sales and delivery.
- Share methods and lead the way in the how to run exploration and product development towards a market fit.
What qualities are we looking for?
- A customer centric mindset with ability to identity the intersection between customer needs and business opportunities.
- Experienced in product conceptualisation and development, perhaps a background in innovation, service design or similiar
- Is used to and comfortable in conducting qualitative and quantitative customer research that drives the product development.
- Entrepreneurial mindset - maybe you have worked or founded a startup
- Experience in scaling up solutions
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to drive changes.
- Is comfortable in taking on the role as both the driver of value creation and change agent of the product development culture.
