Therefore, we are looking for a Health & Safety Manager who can drive and support the organization in continually improving our health & safety performance in a global context.
With direct reference to our Vice President Quality & Sustainability, you will be part of a small team of 10 specialists who all have a cross functional role. The overall objective of the team is to define and drive the implementation of Kamstrup’s Quality & Sustainability strategy and related initiatives such as maintaining our global company certifications, including ISO 45001. The team is growing and characterized by a positive and informal tone as sparring is a natural part of our everyday work.
A job with focus on health & safety performance and culture
In the newly established position, you will have the overall responsibility for health & safety risk management and workplace assessment as well as incident/accident management including continual improvement on activities and reporting. Furthermore, you will be in charge of performing periodically legislative reviews and hereby ensuring legal compliance. To succeed in the role, you will be working closely with another Health & Safety Manager within the team as well as the health & safety organization and be part of our global audit team.
More specifically, your tasks will be to (in a global context):
• Define strategic as well as operational safety improvement targets and KPI’s including monthly reporting and follow up
• Review, improve and prepare health & safety standards across Kamstrup
• Finalize and maintain our health & safety risk register(s) to ensure we continually manage our risks in an effective manner. This includes a proactive approach to how we conduct, support the organization, and follow up on our annual workplace assessment.
• Monitor and ensure legal health & safety compliance across Kamstrup
• Responsible for our global incident Management setup incl. professional support to the health & safety organization in root cause investigation and corrective action implementation and follow up
• Continually identify, plan, and implement health & Safety projects related to improving our health & safety performance both related to physical as well as more cultural aspects.
Personality matters
You have a relevant bachelor’s degree within Engineering or equivalent – preferable a NEBOSH diploma. In addition, you have at least 5 years of experience with health & safety management from a specialist or managerial role. We expect you to have worked on a strategic as well as operational level with incident/accident management, as well as a proven track record with developing and implementing global safety standards including implementation of ISO 45001.
It will furthermore be an asset if you have knowledge or experience with some of the following:
• Health & Safety training incl. behavioral based health & safety awareness
• Health & Safety legislation as well as practical implementation of requirements.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and apply statistics to problem solving
• Audit experience as lead auditor within ISO 45001 or similar
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
As a person you pride yourself in being able to establish trustful and open relationships across the organization. You are driven by the passion for continuous improvement because you see possibilities rather than restrictions. It comes naturally to work analytically and structured with your work tasks, ensuring that you can execute them accordingly. Finally, you consider yourself good at stakeholder management and can easily motivate people to follow you as you excel in change management.
It is a requirement that you master English both written and oral.
