For our project, which is Northern Europe’s biggest construction project resulting in the longest immersed tunnel in the world, we are looking for a Marine Maintenance Engineer to implement and operate the Planned Maintenance System of the vessels and equipment used on the Marine installation scope of the project.
The role of the Marine Maintenance Engineer is to support the technical management of onshore and offshore installations by means of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) as used by the technical department onshore and the marine crews on board of our vessels. The PMS requires technical and operational input and diligent follow-up to function effectively and reliably. It will be your responsibility to gather, verify and analyze technical input and use this data to maintain the equipment to an operational state and looking ahead to future requirements together with the technical staff.
You will have close interface with the Technical Superintendents, Bridge team, Engine room team, suppliers, subcontractors, and other FLC departments such as procurement and logistics.

Femern Link Contractors, FLC, is the joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals and ramps. Our joint venture consists of nine international construction companies with individual experience in large infrastructure projects.

Main responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Gather input to create risk analyses for the technical installations and mitigating these risks by prescribing appropriate maintenance measures.
- Plan the work ahead.
- Provide help and support to the users of the maintenance management system.
- Identify which preventive maintenance tasks are best applied to the equipment (using manuals, technical drawings, supplier advice, available experience, etc.).
- Build a functional breakdown in the maintenance management system.
- Advise / support multiple project teams in various disciplines.
- Issue monthly trend reports for project teams and clients.
- Increase system reliability and reduce costs by means of continuous improvement to the PMS.
Qualifications:
- Candidate is expected to have +5 years of experience working in a technical marine maintenance environment.
- A completed technical education at Bachelor level or equal qualification e.g., maintenance software experience as engine room crew.
- Knowledge of Marine Planned Maintenance systems such as Maximo, Star, etc. (experience with system implementation and set-up is a pre).
- Excellent oral and written skills in English (Danish and Dutch are a pre).
- Good analytical skills.
- Self-motivating and friendly personality, used to working with multiple nationalities
- Approach work in a structured, well-organised manner.
- Willingness to travel.
