Then you might be our new Head of Development in [xxxxx] Housing!

You will join an organization responsible for delivering Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to [xxxxx]’s customers, acting as a key link between development teams and stakeholders across the business.

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong track record in managing development teams, transformations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues across cultures and locations. This is a key leadership position, playing an important role in shaping our technological direction and ensuring the delivery of high-quality SaaS solutions.

This role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our Ikast and Aarhus offices, as r[xxxxx]ular presence at both locations is expected. Danish language skills are required, as the position involves daily collaboration with Danish-speaking clients and colleagues.

Lead Our Next Transformation Phase

[xxxxx] delivers market-leading software solutions for social housing organisations and commercial property management companies within rental and financial management.

Today, our solutions handle rent collection for approximately 700,000 tenancies each month, making our systems business-critical to our customers’ financial management (ERP) and their communication with residents and tenants.

As Head of Development in [xxxxx] Housing, you will have overall responsibility for maintaining and delivering three main SaaS products to our customers. You will report directly to Senior Vice President, Martin Holmgaard, and lead a team of 25 employees in Denmark, 4 in Poland, and 35 in India.

You will be a key player in our transformation journey, focusing on:

  • Cultural and organisational transformation of the development setup with local, nearshore and offshore teams.
  • Building new structures with small, AI-empowered teams, where roles are changing.
  • Strat[xxxxx]ic technology leadership and roadmap execution.
  • Ensuring high delivery quality and on-time releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the AI transformation of the entire development organisation – culturally and organisationally.
  • Set technical direction and implement the software development strat[xxxxx]y aligned with business goals.
  • Make decisions on technology stack and stay ahead of emerging technology trends.
  • Identify and manage risks in software development projects.
  • Establish coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with architects and technical leads on architectural guidelines.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of both new and ongoing projects.

Your Profile

You are an experienced technology leader who combines strong execution capabilities with a strat[xxxxx]ic mindset. You create clarity in complex environments, inspire leaders and teams, and drive organizational development and change. You balance technological excellence with business impact and bring a curious, pragmatic, and proactive leadership approach.

Your background may vary, but to succeed in this role, we expect you to possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading leaders and teams – up to 60 FTEs.
  • Experience in cultural and organisational transformation of development teams.
  • Ability to ensure agile teams meet their commitments and deliver on time.
  • Experience in optimising and improving the right nearshore/offshore workforce mix.
  • Commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends and technologies – including AI.
  • Solid understanding of frontend, backend, and data technologies.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality SaaS products based on coding standards and best practices.
