Cibus Nordic Real Estate AB publ. (“Cibus”) is now seeking a Finance Manager for our Danish subsidiary, with operations and location in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Introduction


Cibus is a real estate company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm stock exchange ([xxxxx] The company’s business concept and strategy are to acquire, develop and manage high quality properties with daily goods store chains as anchor tenants. The company currently owns more than 660 properties in Europe with a gross asset value of approximately EUR 2.5 billion. The largest tenants are Kesko, Tokmanni, Coop, S Group, Rema 1000, Salling Group, Lidl, Dagrofa, Jumbo and Carrefour.

Cibus Denmark portfolio consist of 82 anchored grocery real estate properties geographically located in Denmark. Cibus has a clear and outspoken growth strategy and targeting to grow the company going forward in mainland Europe including in Denmark. With this background Cibus is exploring the possibilities to hire a Finance Manager for the Danish operation.

About the position


As Finance Manager Denmark, you will have the overall responsibility for financial operations and financial reporting. This is an opportunity to take on a new role where you will help develop and head up a modern finance function in a leading European real estate company with a corporate culture characterized by commitment, business drive, and team spirit.

This is a central role where you are expected to build, lead, and be responsible for creating an efficient finance function in the company. You will work closely with the local investment and property asset management team, as well as with the group’s finance department. The role includes both strategic and operational leadership within the finance function, and in due time also personnel responsibility. You will drive projects in the finance area, strive for continuous improvements in routines, controls, and processes to contribute to effective financial reporting and management. If you also see yourself as particularly interested in business development and business systems, with a desire to establish and drive the development of a finance department, this position could be something special for you. As Finance Manager, you will be part of Cibus Denmark’s local management organization with main responsibility for financial accounting, reporting, and business controlling, as well as for business development and business systems. You will be based at our office in Copenhagen and report directly to the Chief Investment Officer.

Main responsibilities and work tasks include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Responsible for leading and developing the finance function within the company
  • Responsible for accounting, closing of accounts, and financial reporting
  • Responsible for annual budgeting
  • Responsible for ongoing financial management, financial forecasting, and liquidity analysis
  • Responsible for ongoing VAT and tax declarations
  • Responsible for the annual audit process and being the contact person for auditors
  • Responsible for presenting financial and economic KPIs for the management
  • Responsible for developing the finance function regarding staff, resources, systems, routines, and internal controls within the finance function
  • Involved in business development and procurement of financial support and business systems
  • Assist in property transactions and company acquisitions regarding finance and funding matters
  • Assist with tax closing for the group and group tax matters
  • Work closely with Group Finance department with financial reporting, liquidity planning and forecasting and be available for ad-hoc tasks within finance

Your profile:


We are searching for a confident, analytical, and committed Finance Manager with a humble attitude. We believe you are hard-working team player who wants to join us to build up Cibus Denmark’s finance department. As you will be the first employee in the finance department in Denmark, you will appreciate an entrepreneurial spirit and an environment where everything is possible as long as you take responsibility. We assume that you have a genuine interest of real estate and particularly of grocery anchored real estate – i.e. being a “Supermarket Lover” and would like to be part of a growth journey with Cibus in the coming years under our slogan “Converting Food into Yield”

We believe:


  • You have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or equivalents
  • You have at least seven years’ experience in managing a qualified finance function and finance work routines
  • You have an excellent ability to express yourself in Danish and English, both spoken and written, and you are communicative, educational, and skilled at visualizing and conveying financial and economic information
  • You have a strong interest in staying updated on the latest in international accounting, e.g., IFRS and local accounting regulations
  • You have a great interest in financial and business digital ERP systems
  • You are proficient in MS Office at an advanced level

To succeed in the role, it is important that you are a motivated and autonomous individual who enjoy having significant personal responsibility and have a structured way of working. You have well-developed social skills that promote collaboration within the team and a communicative ability to handle several internal and external contacts.

Experience from a listed public company, international operations, and from the real estate industry is highly advantageous.
