About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Development Consultant to be a part of a new department established to drive the evolution of our people’s competencies to align with our long-term business strategy. Over the coming years, we aim to ensure that [xxxxx]’s talent and competency management approach is best in class.

Your role will be pivotal in leading and supporting key initiatives to achieve this goal. Furthermore, the role will act as a trusted partner facilitating and presenting HR initiatives and team workshops for leaders and employees. As Senior HR Development Consultant in Talent and Competency Development you’ll:

Act as project manager for relevant HR people strategy projects which could involve:

  • Ensure a close alignment between the framework of learning and development opportunities with employee’s career path opportunities
  • Optimise our succession planning approach to ensure employees are ready to step into critical roles
  • Develop and implement competency-based training programmes and initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of talent development programmes and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement

Additionally, you will:

  • Act as a trusted partner for senior line management to support the development of their employees and leaders
  • Facilitate training activities for employees and leaders (including E[xxxxx]agram and Insight workshops)

The miles you’ve walked

  • Relevant academic education or a background as an HR professional. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior talent development role, preferably within a large organisation.
  • Soild understanding of competency-based training and development methodologies.
  • Worked with leadership development – or as a manager is a plus.
  • Experience in the engineering field is a plus.
  • Experience working with Insights, E[xxxxx]agram or Hogan is a plus.
