The Role

As Event and Venue Manager, you hold the overall operational and managerial responsibility for the events held on the island. The events range from smaller gatherings of around 30 people to large international events, conferences, and festivals hosting up to 300 participants over several days.
You work hands-on while maintaining a strong overview, leading through clear structures, planning, and presence. The role combines operational leadership with coordination responsibilities and plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations as well as the long-term development of the venue and its events.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct communication with clients and partners in order to professionally prepare and excecute events.

- Development, implementation, and follow-up on procedures, guidelines, and operational standards

- Ensuring consistently high quality in products and guest service

- Leadership, onboarding, coordination, and daily management of staff

- Coordination of HR-related tasks in collaboration with other management

- Administrative tasks including documentation, internal reporting, and email correspondence

- Process optimization with a focus on efficiency and workflow

- Responsibility for hygiene, quality control, and regulatory compliance

- Close collaboration with other managers to ensure cohesive operations

- High guest satisfaction and consistently professional service

- A motivated, stable, and well-coordinated team with clear expectations

- Efficient operations, including during peak periods and major events

- Visible improvements in structure, operational flow, and collaboration

- Have solid experience within coordination of events and have excellent communication skills

- Have experience in personnel management

- Work in a structured, analytical, and proactive manner

- Thrive in a role with responsibility and decision-making authority

- Maintain overview in a fast-paced environment

- Are flexible and available evenings and weekends

- Speak fluent English
